About Us
The purpose of SeeGodMove.org is to document encounters with God and make them publicly accessible so that many more people can find out about it. SeeGodMove.org has a two-fold benefit: first and foremost, to win new people to Christ and secondly, to encourage and strengthen the faith of believers around the world.
Site Beginnings
The idea originally came to me in August 2006. To my knowledge, there was no central repository that documented how God has manifested Himself and moved in the lives of believers around the globe. I want people to have access to testimonies of God being alive and real, touching people lives today.
I pursued the idea on my own for about two months, working out the technical implementation of the website, telling no one but my soon-to-be wife. Once this techie stuff was about 90% established, I brought my dad (an ordained minister) in to help out with the content. I wanted to ensure that I covered the potential amount and types of testimonies that we will get in.
That idea grew into something more.
I felt that if believers were accessing this site worldwide, it would be GREAT if we could get the power of prayer operational in people’s lives. (The effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous… -James 5:16) Imagine having brothers and sisters in Christ all around the globe interceding on the behalf of each other’s prayers. Thus the Prayer Requests section was born. I want to make people’s prayer requests made known to saints who otherwise would not have known and would not have been interceding on their behalf. I also wanted to be able to track this so that the original requester will be able to look back and see how many people were interceding on their behalf. We are a family of believers in the body of Christ. We’re supposed to look out for one another, with prayer being a major part of that.
What Do We Believe?
In a nutshell, the Bible. It is the infallible, inerrant Word of God. If it’s in the Bible, we believe it. It is the standard by which we live. (2 Timothy 3:16)
